"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." β Exodus 20:8 (KJV)
Beloved,
May this holy Sabbath fill you with the assurance that God keeps every promise He has spoken. He is not silent β He has made His will known in His Word. He is speaking to us clearly; we simply have to read, listen, comprehend, and apply what God has said. When God speaks a promise with an "if," He is calling us to obedience.
π This Sabbath's Message
Walking in God's Promises Through Obedience
π Promises of God (KJV):
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." β 2 Chronicles 7:14
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." β 1 John 1:9
"If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." β John 14:15-18
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." β John 15:7
"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." β Mark 11:25-26
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." β James 4:7-8
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." β Proverbs 3:5-6
"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." β Psalm 37:4
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." β Malachi 3:10
This Sabbath, consider that God is speaking to us clearly through His Word. He says, "If you humble yourselfβ¦ then I will heal your land. If you confessβ¦ then I will forgive. If you love Meβ¦ keep My commandments. If you abideβ¦ then ask what you will. If you draw nighβ¦ then I will draw nigh to you." He has not left us to guess β He has spoken. We simply have to read, listen, comprehend, and apply what God has said. The question is not whether God will keep His Word β He will. The question is whether we will walk in God's word and be obedient to God's commandments.
